Hello, my name is Lisa Chen.

As an undergraduate at York University, I worked within its library system. I performed various tasks such as shelving, circulation and handling archival material. My interest in the LIS field began during those years.

While studying at Western, I completed co-op placements at Environment Canada and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Both placements provided me with experience in the information field, including collection management, reference, content management and databases.

I completed a Master of Library and Information Science at Western University in 2015. After graduating from Western, I have also assumed various roles to pursue my interest in using technology to connect people with information.

My main interests are special librarianship and technology, but my posts will be related to anything about the information field. Other than libraries, I have an interest in reading, writing, learning history and volunteering.

If you would like to contact me, please feel free to fill out the form below. I am more than happy to provide advice to prospective or current students in the MLIS program.
